Rearing

Every dog, whether Glen or not, needs to be guided responsibly through its early youth. Around the house a firm order of authority is essential for the pup to understand who you are and, more importantly,
what his own position is. Generally, the dog will spend his entire life as the lowest ranking member of the family. He will not experience this as an unpleasant situation. In fact, it will provide him with the security of knowing where he stands and he will therefore consider the pack to be a safe and trusted environment. His master, on the other hand, is the highest ranking member of the pack and is therefore the leader.
Raising a dog costs a lot of energy. We try to give the reader some tips and tricks to treat the young dog consistently. If done so, it will prove to have been worth all the effort.
