Health

Although the Glen is generally a healthy dog that is not likely to have a lot of physical problems, it is advisable to check him regularly, preferably every day. The person who takes care of the dog can check the dogs health by looking and feeling. The following aspects will be discussed in this chapter: Skin and coat, eyes, ears, external and internal parasites, teeth, anal glands, feeding, preventing illness, hereditary disorders, like PRA (an eye defect) and patella dislocation (a condition in which the kneecap moves out of its correct place).
